Alexander Garden, Moscow

Alexander Garden, Moscow

Experience Alexander Garden

If you're looking for a place to relax and unwind after a long day in the city centre, Alexander Garden is the perfect spot. It's nestled right along the northwest walls of the Kremlin. It's now a tranquil haven, but it still has a lot of war-time memories attached to it. There's a grotto in the middle of the garden, and you can spot rocks that are actually pieces of buildings that were damaged during the war.

Right next to the entrance, you'll come across the Tomb Of the Unknown Soldier, which is a memorial to all the Russian soldiers who lost their lives in World War II. The soldiers' ashes were originally stored on the 40km of the M10 highway (the highway that links Moscow and Saint Petersburg), but they were moved here for the 25th World War anniversary.

If you're looking for a unique experience, check out the gardens near Manege Square and the Eternal Flame. You can also take a look at the pools near the fast food queues. Your kid might find it interesting to check out the ones with Russian fairy tale characters.
